Credentials and Certification

Ms. Savage is both a Clinical and a Forensic Social Worker, with over 20 years of practice. She has a Master's Degree in Social Work from San Diego State University, a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Chemical Dependency, and a Bachelor's Degree in Child and Youth Counseling.  

She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Virginia, and a Member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW),  as well as  The National Organization of Social Workers, Virginia Chapter (NASWVA).  Ms. Savage is also a Forensic Social Worker and a full member of  the National Organization of Forensic Social Workers (NOFSW), as well as a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC).

Ms. Savage provides Forensic Court Services, and is an expert in child abuse.

Ms. Savage provides Psychotherapy/Counseling services as well as Forensic Services.  

These include but are not limited to: providing anger management classes and individual therapy surrounding this issue, providing co-parenting counseling & therapeutic supervised visitation.  As a forensic social worker, Ms. Savage provides a variety of services for the Courts.  She is an expert in child abuse, neglect, and sexual abuse.  Ms. Savage regularly testifies in court as an expert witness, accepts court ordered cases, and provides services for families involved in custody disputes/litigation.

In addition Ms. Savage has received specialty training in the following areas: Suicide Intervention, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Dispute Resolution, Domestic Violence, Risk Assessment, Child Abuse Prevention, Sexual Abuse Training, Sexual Abuse Investigation, Out of Family Investigations, Structured Decision Making, Casework Process and Case Planning in Child Welfare, and Intake and Investigation.
